"A Neglected Witness for the Resurrection of Jesus?"
After 40 years of extensive research, the Shroud of Turin has become the most scrutinized artifact in history. What fascinating discoveries have scientists from numerous disciplines, historians, and theologians learned from their diligent research? Does the Shroud provide remarkable evidence of the most significant event in all recorded history: the resurrection of our Lord? Might the Shroud be the “sign of Jonah” Jesus promised (Mt. 12:38-40; 16:4)? Might it have been used as an evangelistic tool by the earliest Christians? “O foolish Galatians! Has someone cast the evil eye on you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly exhibited as having been crucified?” (Gal. 3:1). An extensive PowerPoint presentation will supplement the speaker’s talk.

The Shroud fabric was woven in the pattern of a herring fish..... The bones of a herring fish. Herringbone weave. So Jonah was in the belly of a big fish for 3 days and Jesus was wrapped in a piece of linen woven in the pattern of a fish. 3 over 1 herringbone weave. Coincidence or not?
