Current resilience literature explores how spirituality can be a protective factor for children in difficult circumstances. The first session focuses on resilience and spirituality in children and offers ways to spiritually nurture children who are coping with long-term illness, the death of a family member, or parental divorce. The second session offers ways to spiritually nurture children who have endured such traumatic adversity as a school shooting, sexual abuse, or natural disaster.
